DAY 1

MORNING PRAYER

Each year of school picks a spiritual theme. This year the theme is “Living Christ’s Mission”. Jesus asked two things of us that seemed so simple, yet for us are the most difficult things to do perfectly; Love God and love each other. We may live out Christ’s Mission in many ways, according to his will, but among the many ways we choose to live our lives, these are things we must do to make the world a better place and to live in God’s love. This theme also helps us understand the importance of answering the call to go out and spread Christ’s word and the teachings to others, so we may bring this love to others.
Loving God,
Please go before us as we embark on a new and different school year.
This year let us embrace the mission you have set out for all of us.
Bless the work you ask us to do this year at schools, and at home.
Help us to remember to greet each person we meet
with dignity and love.
We ask this through Christ, Our Lord.

Amen
