DAY 2
MORNING PRAYER
Today is the feast day of St. Mark, who wrote the second gospel in the New Testament. He was a follower of Peter and Paul and would have listened to them telling him of Jesus' words and deeds. He wrote down these reflections into the gospel we read to learn more about Jesus. Let us give thanks to St. Mark for writing down the words that inspire us today.
Loving God,
Thank you for
the writers of the gospel who share Jesus’ words and experiences with us.
We thank you for
the life of St. Mark who wrote about the life of Jesus.
These scriptures
help us grow in our relationship with you.
Help us to
remember to read the scriptures,
as they provide us ways to make sense of our world
and how to be better
people.
Through Christ
our Lord,
Amen.
Amen
