DAY 2
MORNING PRAYER
The words “Do not be afraid” appear about 365 times throughout the Bible. For example, the angel tells Mary not to be afraid when she is asked to be the mother of Jesus. Joseph is told not to be afraid, but to take Mary as his wife. Jesus calls Simon Peter to follow him, telling him not to be afraid, and when Jesus rose from the dead, he says to his friends, “Don’t be afraid … I leave you my peace”.Having faith can help us put aside fear, for faith will bring us hope in life.
Loving God,
Help us not to
be afraid.
Help us to
become the best version of ourselves,
by addressing
things that we want to change.
Lead us and
guide us on this journey.
Help us to trust
in you and be not
afraid.
Through Christ
our Lord,
Amen
