 DAY 1

MORNING PRAYER

We will continue our look at the Catholic Social Teachings. Today we look at the Catholic Social teaching of the option for the poor and vulnerable. Throughout the Bible, we hear how we are to help those who are poor and vulnerable in our society. We are asked to help, in any small way, those who are struggling and hungry.

Loving God,

May we always remember that by serving

the women, men and children

most vulnerable to poverty and injustice,

we are loving and serving you.

Give us the wisdom to see the structures

which create and perpetuate poverty

and the passion to make a change.

Help us to help,

in whatever small way we can,

the poor in our community.

Through Christ our Lord.

Amen
