DAY 1
MORNING PRAYER
We will continue our look at the Catholic Social Teachings. Today we look at the Catholic Social teaching of the option for the poor and vulnerable. Throughout the Bible, we hear how we are to help those who are poor and vulnerable in our society. We are asked to help, in any small way, those who are struggling and hungry.
Loving God,
May we always
remember that by serving
the women, men
and children
most vulnerable
to poverty and injustice,
we are loving
and serving you.
Give us the
wisdom to see the structures
which create and
perpetuate poverty
and the passion
to make a change.
Help us to help,
in whatever
small way we can,
the poor in our
community.
Through Christ
our Lord.

For students passionate about telling the story of the agriculture industry, the governments of Canada and Saskatchewan are proudly offering the Agriculture Student Scholarship for the 12th consecutive year. Saskatchewan Grade 12 students and recent high school graduates (within the last two years) have the chance to win a grand-prize scholarship of $4,000 or one of three runner-up scholarships of $2,000 when they submit a three-minute video or 1,000-word essay on transparency. This year’s scholarship theme encourages youths to explore their idea of transparency in agriculture and how it affects public perception of the industry. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be planning to take an agriculture-related post-secondary education program beginning in the fall of 2022. This scholarship program has been designed to identify young people who are planning to pursue a career in the agriculture industry. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2022.
