Please return your textbooks to the library by the last day of classes, Thursday, January 22nd and place into the BOOK RETURN bins. Any textbooks that are damaged or are not returned by the end of the semester will be added to a student’s billing account.

During the first half hour of each final exam, the library clerks will go to the exam rooms to collect textbooks and English novels. Textbooks may also be returned to the library and placed in the BOOK RETURN bins. TEENS FOR JEANS
Tia Furstenberg and Nikki de Leon will be collecting jeans for "Teens for Jeans", a national campaign in partnership with Aeropostale and DoSomething.org. Students and staff are encouraged to bring their old pairs of jeans to school from February 4th - February 11th where they will be collected in the Commons at lunch. These jeans will be donated to teenagers experiencing homelessness in and around the community. Each person who donates will receive a "sweet treat"!

Windscript magazine welcomes students to submit creative writing in any and all forms - poetry, prose, and creative non-fiction - for Volume 31 of Windscript. Entries are due by February 16th, 2015. More information is available at http://www.skwriter.com/publications/windscript
2014-2015 ABORIGINAL ARTS & STORIES CONTEST
Participants of First Nations, Inuit or Metis heritage are invited to submit a short piece of creative writing or a two-dimensional piece of artwork about a moment or theme in Aboriginal history or culture. Winners receive cash prizes of up to $2,000, and groups of 6 or more are eligible for an additional prize! The contest deadline is March 31, 2015 and full guidelines are available at www.our-story.ca.

St. Joseph Parish is looking for volunteers to assist with Children's Liturgy during Sunday masses (10:00 a.m.). Interested students are asked to contact Shelley at 922-0152 during the evenings. This opportunity would count toward Christian Ethics service hours.
SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS
NATIONAL EVANGELICAL TEAM (NET)
This team has engaged teens and children in music, games, laughter, prayer and talks about their faith for many years. On January 31st, a 24 Hour Event for Grades 8-12 will begin at 3 p.m. and end February 1st at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish (260-25th St. East), Grades 9-12 will continue overnight. Grades 8’s would join the group on Sunday, February 1st at 10:00 a.m. for mass, followed by a big brunch. The Prince Albert Wrestling Club has begun! Sessions are Mondays and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m for Elementary school age students and 7:00 p.m. for high school age students, as well as Sundays at 4:00 p.m. Sessions are held at Carlton in the white gym. For more information, please see Ms. Richards.
