Canada-Experience Canada Week
Be in the centre of the action on Parliament Hill,
with a front row VIP seat at the Canada Day Celebrations! Experience Canada
Week is from June 29th to July 5th, 2014. Encounters Canada has specifically
designed this week for high school students who are new or first
generation Canadians. Please see Mrs. McLeod in Student Services for more
information on how to apply.
GRAD PHOTO RETAKES
Retakes will be Friday, May 16th starting at 9:30 am. Please see Mrs. Kopchynski to schedule a time if a retake is needed. There is a possibility of a $20 fee being charged. If you are getting a sitting for the first time the charge is $30.
The Tillie and Joe Kawula Scholarship($1,000) and The Hershel Davidner Memorial Scholarship($1,000) will be awarded to two graduating Grade 12 students entering a post secondary school. These scholarships are open to Grade 12 graduates from S.R.S.Division and P.A.R.C.S.Division. The deadline to apply is May 30th, 2014. Please see a counselor in Student Services for application details.

CANADIAN FRENCH BURSARY
French immersion students can apply for this bursary. Please see M. Gervais to get an application form. The deadline for applications is Saturday, May 4th. The Grade 9, 10, 11 bursary is $100.00 for each grade while the Grade 12 bursary is $ 300.00 An essay of 250 words is required to apply for this bursary.

WIZARD OF OZ MUSICAL
The musical, The Wizard of Oz, will be presented at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre from Wednesday, May 7th - Saturday, May 10th at 7:30 p.m., as well as a Saturday Matinee on May 10th at 1:00 p.m. Tickets cost $18.00 for adults (ages 19 and over) and $13.00 for students (ages 18 years and under) and are available at the E.A. Rawlinson Box Office or by phoning 765-1270.

DATE CHANGE: U of S U-START 2014
U-Start 2014 will be held on Thursday, May 22nd at St. Mary High School in the Theatre from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. The U-Start session is facilitated by the U of S and will show new students and their parents how to register for their classes, organize class schedules, housing options, transitions programs, and more. Students may go online and register with the U of S for the U-Start session.
APPOINTMENT WITH U of S ACADEMIC ADVISOR
Grade 12 students who have registered to attend the U of S this fall will have the opportunity to meet with a U of S Academic Advisor on Thursday, May 29th. He will be here from 9:00 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.The advisor will help you with course selection and any other questions you may have. You must sign up by or before Tuesday, May 27th to meet with him. Please see Mrs. McLeod in student services to sign up.
