MORNING PRAYER

Today’s reading (Daniel 2:31-35), tells of a dream that the prophet Daniel interprets for a King who wants to conquer many lands and people. See what happens to the King’s plan to build his own empire of glory.

God, King of the universe, throughout all time, you are the one who has been Lord over all. All creation was made to serve you. May we continue to pray to you to learn more about your will. May we look to the life of your Son Jesus as a guide for living. Amen

SLC MAGAZINE PRIZES

The following students are to see Mrs. McLeod in Student Services regarding their prize for the Magazine Fundraiser: Ashley Long, Melanie Heleta, Cathleen Thibert, Adam Brown, April Torres, Logan Tatlow, Josh Bernier, Cassie Jones, Nathan Oleksuik, Charlie Cappelleto, Wyatt Bernier and Amanda Loeffen.

MOCK TRIAL INTERVIEWS
Mock Trials will be held December 11, 12, 13^th at  noon hour in Mrs. Daniel Minier's room 238. Sign up sheets are on the door. Please sign up by December 4th.  

U of R 

On Wednesday, November 27th a representative from the U of R will be at St. Mary. Students who have already applied or may be interested in applying to the U of R,  may book an appointment to meet with her. The U of R representative will help with questions about programs, admission, etc. please see Mrs. McLeod in Student Services to book an appointment. There are still some spots available between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. 

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Anyone interested in participating contact Mr. Watt or Mr. Cederwall. We plan on going out next week. You must have your own equipment.

SLC MEETING POSTPONED

The SLC meeting has been postponed to Thursday, November 28th, at 12:20 p.m. in the Conference Room. We will be planning our spirit week in the beginning of December.

HELP WITH OUR CAUSE

Join in on the SLC activites and help raise $1,000 for a Rotary Shelter Box for the Philippines:

 1. Monday to Thursday: For every tub of cookie dough sold, the SLC will donate $1.00 to the Shelter Box.

 2. Wednesday: Hat Day: Donate $2.00 at the main office to wear a hat.

 3. Thursday- Listen to the St. Joseph Youth Choir sing at lunch in the Commons

SHELTER BOX FOR THE PHILIPPINES

The cost of a Rotary Shelter Box is $1,000. For every Shelter Box that is purchased, the Government of Canada and an anonymous donor will match the donation. When St. Mary High School students and staff raise $1,000 to purchase a Shelter box, in actual fact, we will be sending three Shelter boxes!

SLC COOKIE DOUGH CHALLENGE
For every tub of cookie dough sold by 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, November 21st, the SLC will donate $1.00 towards the Rotary Shelter Box for the Philippines. There are extra order forms in the office. Please return your orders to the main office.

MODEL UNITED NATIONS SIGN UP
Any Grade 9 - Grade 12 student who is interested in global politics is invited to participate in Model United Nations this year. The sign up sheet is in the library. Please contact Mr. Ogrodnick, Mrs. Davidson, or Mrs. Morhart if you have any questions.

INTRAMURAL CURLING
Sign up on the sheet on the glass wall of the gym for tonnes of fun.

SLC COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER

The SLC Cookie Dough Fundraiser is from Friday, November 8^th to Thursday, November 21^st. If you did not get a catalogue and order form from the SLC on Friday, November 8^th, you may pick one up at the office. All orders need to be in by November 21^st. Please hand in your orders to the main office.

U of S ADMISSIONS AND AWARDS WORKSHOP

Uni     The University of Saskatchewan will be holding an Admissions and Awards Workshop for students at St. Mary High School on Thursday, December 12th. The workshop will be held during Period 4 in Computer Lab 229. A recruitment officer from the U of S will be here to answer questions about U of S programs and services, awards, scholarships and bursaries and show students how to apply online for admission and the Competitive Entrance Awards.  The deadline to apply for Competitive Entrance Awards is Saturday, February 15^th, 2014. Students must get permission from their period 4 teacher. ‘Pink’ out of class forms may be picked up at student services. Please see a counselor in Student Services if you have any questions.
